Yoga + LONGEVITY IN IKARIA, GREECE . ONLY A FEW SPOTS LEFT!

My second week in Greece brings us to the famous (but still non-touristy) Blue Zone island of Ikaria, Greece. Lonely Planet said it best, “if Greek islands were humans, then magical Ikaria would be the weirdest and most charismatic.” Explore its wild terrain, dramatic forested gorges, thermal springs, rocky moonscapes and hidden beaches with crystal clear aquamarine waters. Combine this with the joie de vivre of the local people whose active lifestyle and diet high in wild, local veggies, herbs, grains and local animal products helped designate the island a Blue Zone, where 1 in 3 people live over 90!

We will stay at Kerame Hotel in clean, modern rooms with sea views and an outdoor practice area. The hotel is less than 1 km from the port of Ikaria, making it an ideal spot to explore the nature and villages of this small island. Enjoy yoga in the mornings and evenings before meals, leaving the day free to explore the islands thermal springs, beaches and caves , visit the traditional stone villages settlements or take in a traditional festival with the local wine and violins playing the Ikariotiko, entertaining the people until sunrise of the sun. A visit to Ikaria integrates you into its rhythms and the way of life of its inhabitants, making its visitors forget the stress and speed of daily life. And maybe even bring some of that spirit back home. :)

Price: 336e for single and 438e for double including 6 nights with breakfast PLUS 480e + VAT for yoga/admin fee.

Getting there: There are daily flights from Athens to Ikaria and daily ferries from Athens, Mykonos , Samos and Syros. Please note that ferry schedule is not finalized by the Greek government until May , so additional ferries are added
