Temples, Monks and Yoga Adventures in Angkor Wat - 2 ROOMS LEFT

I still have dreams of the first yoga retreat I taught with Angkor Wat temples in the backdrop. I am so happy to lead my own trip there ! Join me in 5 days in magical Siem Reap, the home of Angkor Wat, March 26-31st over Easter 2024. Angkor Wat is a UNESCO World Heritage Sight one of the world’s most important ancient monuments and once in a lifetime trip (or two if you are me!) Built in the 1100s, this gorgeous and inspiring temple complex was originally built to the Hindu gods but is now thought of as a Buddhist temple. It is the national symbol of Cambodia and holds great pride for the Khmer culture. The grandeur and beauty of the structure are nestled in the midst of the jungle, making it a true once in a lifetime sight to behold. The ancient kings of Cambodia competed to outdo each other in the size, scale, and symmetry of their building efforts, culminating in the world’s largest religious building, Angkor Wat.  See it’s gradeur. :)

I have reserved all 8 rooms in the hip boutique hotel Maison 557 in Wat Bo, ranked the 3rd hippest neighborhood in the world by TIME OUT magazine. If that’s your thing. Each of the 8 rooms is unique, ranging from a simple, modern Standard Single, to Deluxe Doubles with outdoor showers, to a Suite with private pool.

Most days we will have morning and evening yoga classes at our hotel. There will be one full 8 hour day where you have the opportunity for a guided tour of Angkor Wat . Other things you could do during your free afternoons: biking tours of the temples, a Cambodian cooking class with market visit, Budddhist Temple visit with water blessing and a sunrise temple tour.

Pricing: For 5 nights, room rates run from 280e for a Standard Single or Standard Double to 560e for a Suite with a Private Pool including breakfast. Contact me and I can tell you which rooms are still available. Yoga and admin fee is 550e plus VAT. The hotel or a private tour company I have worked with in the past can organize your all of your temple and tour needs. Most day long tours range from 35 to 45e.

Flights: The main hub of the region is Bangkok. You may find better flight options through Thailand. Both BKK and DMK airports in Bangkok have many daily flights into Siem Reap, Cambodia. It’s a long flight and you may want a few days before or after your time in the hustle and bustel of Siem Reap to rest.
