Annual Greece Retreat in Hydra

There are few places that I keep coming back to, especially in a country like Greece which is FILLED with stunning blue waters, picturesque white-washed buildings, tropical flowers blooming and sublime food. That said, Hydra is such a gem I am returning again in 2026.

Join me for an intimate and relaxed retreat June 2-7, 2026 for 5 days on the stunning, car-free island of Hydra, just a short 1 hour ferry ride from Pireaus port. We will stay in one of two local stone homes and practice yoga twice daily (8am and 4:30pm) in the gorgeous Greek tiled yoga room or on the front terrace weather permitting. Hydra is a Greek island known as an artistic haven, attracting painters, poets, and musicians since the mid-20th century. It has a reputation for its charm, tranquility, and picturesque scenery, which make it appealing to artists. Notable artists like Leonard Cohen, who created a community of artists there, have been drawn to the island.

After our morning lesson, we will enjoy a typical Greek breakfast of fruits, yoghurt, honey, muesli, coffee or tea. Lunch and dinner you can either join up with your yogi friends to go to one of the restaurants around town or use the kitchen to make something yourself.

This is such a great island, and so easy to access all of the 15 or so restaurants, bakeries, shops and local beaches that I wanted us to be able to interact more with the town. May is the best time to visit, as the weather is warm but not too hot, and the Athenites are not yet on their summer holidays so the town is still quite empty. Please join for my maiden voyage to the magical island of Hydra.

Price: 1150€ single/950€ shared per person for 5 nights, breakfast, twice daily yoga (with meditation, breathwork, theme and workshop-style classes). The morning class is a sweaty, strength-oriented flow and evening is focusing on flexibility and mobility.

Where we stay: Hydra is a small island with no large retreat center or hotel with large spaces for yoga, so this different from a lot of retreats I teach. I am renting a main villa which has several outdoor and indoor spaces for yoga practice. This 6BR/4 BA stone villa built in 300 (!!) which has been renovated but still retains its historic charm. Once this villa fills, I will either rent a second villa or advise on local hotels you can stay at with the others.

Nearest airport/transportation to and from: Fly into Athens and take a short hourlong ferry ride from Pireaus. There are usually 4 ferries per day from Athens, for easy same day flights in and out.
