Align to Thrive

November 23 - December 16, 2020

Align to Thrive will introduce you to the daily routines and self-care habits from Ayurveda in a supportive group setting. Our daily habits reflect how we feel about ourselves and our bodies. While in my program, you could expect to shed extra kilos, clear up your skin, experience better digestion, regular elimination and sounder sleep. The longer you stick to these habits, the more benefits you will see.

Align to Thrive will teach you how to effectively implement changes into your daily routine. With each new habit, we focus on making small, incremental changes, particularly on newer or harder to implement habits. Changing our habits is rarely a knowledge issue. It is an implementation issue.

How does it work?

Theory. First you will learn the nuts and bolts of Ayurveda in my 6-week Essential Ayurveda program. You will get a basic understanding of the elements (air, space, water, fire and earth), the doshas (the forces of movement, heat, and cohesion), and the gunas (the ways that we describe experiences in the outer and inner world). You will also learn how Ayurveda views the 24 hours of the day and how this informs the choices we make about how to move, eat, relax, play and sleep.

Practice. We will learn how to effectively and slowly implement the best practices for daily living according to Ayurveda. We go over 10 self-care habits for daily living (called dinacharya in Ayurveda). We will look at diet (the what, when and how of diet Ayurveda-style), morning and evening habits to improve our sleep and start the day with habits that give us the energy we need for our work, passions and loved ones and Ayurveda’s view on daily movement (it’s not just yoga!!). Sprinkled in throughout the course, you will learn habit change strategies such as kaizen (making small, incremental changes), identify your keystone habit (the habit which makes following other healthy habits easier) and learn how to enthusiastically say yes to obligations and cut out people-pleasing behavior that derails your health. You will design your own ideal daily routine based on your experience in the course.

The course includes live lectures, group and individual coaching, movement, meditation and reflective supportive materials, growth work, recipe books and a lot more. :)

When?

We will meet for several short 30 minute sessions - usually on Mondays and Wednesday on Zoom. These sessions will be mainly practical. We will move, meditate, cook and learn the habits of Ayurveda together. The theory will where we will learn about habit of the week, These weekly meetings allow you to meet and support other course members, share your insights and struggles and be coached by me. All sessions are recorded and available the day of the session.

Weekly webinars are sent out at the beginning of the week and can be listened to at your own convenience. These webinars cover the weekly habit, a background into the health habit from the Ayurvedic and Yogic perspective and the latest, practical and cutting edge habit change tips to keep it modern and applicable to your life today.

Course includes text book, growth worksheets, recipe books, and supportive movement, meditation and mindfulness materials will help you to put the practice into real life, and experiment, week by week.

What is the weekly time investment?

Our meetings are in total about 75 minutes per week. The weekly webinar is about 35-45 minutes. Besides the 2.5ish hours spent on the course weekly, your time investment will vary depending on the habit of the week. However, the emphasis is on baby steps and 1% improvements to make changes gradually so they stick

Cost:

200e. Cost includes all live sessions and webinars, textbook, materials, dosha guides, recipe books and lots more.

How do I know if I’m a good fit?

Been thinking about tinkering with some of your habits that aren’t working for you? Maybe even read some books, attended lectures or done some other self work? These often don’t work in part because it’s hard to do things alone. Maybe it is time to make the time. And add the essential pieces of being part of a group of like-minded, curious lovers of life.
