Wellness Retreats
Rest, nourish, move and commune.
These are basic human needs that we often forget in our busy lives. My retreats combine invigorating daily yoga and movement classes with practical mindfulness and mindset work, healthy nutritionist-approved meals, in beautiful surroundings in nature which inspire you to slow down, listen to what you need and rest but also go back to regular life with new tools, inspiration and being part of a community of like-minded people looking for the same. Retreats are a great way to reboot and recharge your inner batteries for the other important work in your life.
I teach about 8-10 retreats per year and almost all of my clients are repeat clients. Most of them come 1-3 times per year and plan their times with friends they make on retreats. Good people are always there. And good people find good people.

Common Questions
-
There is no fitness level required. Absolute beginners have come and learned a lot in a condensed time. Teachers and advanced practitioners also attend. I adapt my lessons to the group present and provide options and a safe space to expand your practice wherever you are at.
-
Most retreats have 10-15 people if I teach alone. If I co-teach, there are around 20.

Refer to the individual retreat you are interested in, but generally the retreat price listed includes the room and (some or all) meals, all yoga/movement/mindfulness sessions, and retreat administration and coordination. They do not include flights or transfers from airports or train stations unless stated. I help students coordinate transfers with the hotel or retreat center.

As a nutritionist, offering healthy food that tastes great and makes you feel energized is important to me. I choose places that can offer regional dishes made in healthier ways that can also accommodate students who have dietary restrictions. Meals include a lot of veggies and include strict vegetarian and non-vegetarian options whenever available. Proteins, healthy fats and fibrous carbs should be in every meal. Yummy desserts also find their way in.

Depending on whether the retreat offers other time-dependent sports, usually the morning yoga or movement practice is at 8am and the evening around 5pm, but exact times vary. Meals follow the movement classes. There are some retreats that offer a smaller breakfast, midday meal and dinner and some that offer a large later brunch with larger dinner. Click on the link to register. With many retreats, the room/food fee and yoga fee are paid separately for tax reasons. You will be asked to pay a non-refundable deposit at the time of registration. The remainder will be paid 3 months before the retreat begins.

While emergencies can arise, there is a lot of organization involved from my side and that of the accommodation. I try my best to understand exigent circumstances, but am also responsible for making the events financially sustainable and running smoothly. Deposits are non-refundable. If you have to cancel after you have paid the full amount, the money can be returned in the instance the space can be filled by the waiting list or if you find a replacement.
